Smaller roles that interest me and i think would be a great stepping stone whilst also complimenting my strengths would be a visual merchandiser. This role involves dealing with the back end as much as styling, two things that really interest me and i genuienly enjoy. Maybe as time goes on and im more involved, the nerd side may get boring, who knows, but that is why we do it! I think this role could be a great stepping stone and transition into the fashion industry, as i am still in hospitality (which has amazing transferable skills) and it can be a hard in can be a real trap. So i think this is a route i wish to go down as i think it can not only be a perfect transition into fashion, but it’s also one of the only fashion related roles ive seen in city (excluding standard retail).

I still need to do my research and find out what skills i require for a role of this nature, from what ive seen it’s more computer shit like excel and specific software's used within these fields, but i will do my research and get back to you!

Other roles that interest me would be standard retail, just for the experience and to see how a clothing store is run. I will get a real hands on experience and see the unique challenges that’ll come with it, something that can be very hard to get with research as it’s not always subjects people want or can bring up. So working within a clothes store, not a commercial one where profit is everything, something independent like DogFish would be fucking perfect, cool garms, people but then also dealing with premium clothes and customers whilst remaining independant would be very ideal.

This is slightly off track and not thnking of the end game, but i know how my life has been and this is the best way to plan, for the next day not 5 years. I will do my research and write an ideal chain of events i would like and think could happen for the next 10/15 years. As i do know loosly where i want to end up and kinda how to get there. But yeh ive learned to take it a day at a time.

Not to be a dick and talk about the universe and such, but im sure you can understand my theory of not discussing things until theyre done. It’s sods law and has caught me out more times than i care to mention. You cant read my poker face.
